Flights & Connections
Below is a list of airlines & web-sites for both international & regional carriers that will be of assistance when arranging flights to accompany your trip.

Please remember when booking flights to allow two days for a possible overrun of your safari. Also for most trips we ask that you arrive the day prior to the departure date. Any airport transfers and accommodation you need for the period prior to your departure we are more than happy to arrange.

Depending on the safari you are doing you will be probably be using one or two of the following airports.

Entebbe, Uganda.
Nairobi, Kenya.
Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
Zanzibar Island, Tanzania.
Lusaka, Zambia.
Livingstone, Zambia.
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
Johannesburg, South Africa.
Cape Town, South Africa.

Flight terminology and jargon you might find helpful

Many of our trips require what are known as "open jaw" flights. This is a term that is used for a flight arrangement where you fly into one airport, head off on land arrangements that take you on to another destination, so that you then fly out from a different airport from where you originally landed.

Australians/ New Zealanders

If you are doing a trip on your way home you will need a one way open jaw ticket.

One of the best available that many of our clients use is a Discovery flight, flying British Airways into one destination eg either Nairobi, Entebbe, Lusaka or Johannesburg, then Qantas from Johannesburg to Australia / NZ via Perth or Sydney. You can also usually have a stop over in Perth or Sydney if you wish on the way home.

These arrangements sit well then with many of our safaris, such as trips that start in Nairobi or Entebbe, and finish in Johannesburg, Cape Town or Victoria Falls.

If your trip finishes in Cape Town and you need to get to Johannesburg have a look at www.kulula.com and for well priced flights from Cape Town to Johannesburg ( similar to Easy Jet). South African Airways and British Airways(Com Air) also service this route as do www.1time.aero

If finishing in Victoria Falls or Livingstone connecting flights can be arranged between the Falls and Johannesburg to back into your onward flight. These can be arranged with Com Air or SAA.

International carriers:

British Airways / Qantas Discovery flights. One way to Africa, then on to Australia / NZ.

British Airways. Return to Europe and open jaw tickets eg Into Nairobi, Out of Dar Es Salaam

Kenya Airways / KLM. Return to Europe and open jaw tickets

Emirates. Return to Europe via Dubai, and open jaw tickets back to the UK, and onto Asia

Virgin. Return to Europe and open jaw tickets

Qatar. Return to Europe and open jaw tickets
