Itinerary for The Wildlife Journey Safari
Guide only

Transfer to Jinja, departure meeting by the While Nile and Bujagali Falls, Lake Victoria, Kampala, Drum markets, Queen Elizabeth National Park including a game cruise and game drive, Kabale and/or Lake Bunyoni.
Optionals: White water rafting, village walks, bungee-jumping, kayaking, boat trips, voluntary work in a local school, quad biking, horse riding, kyaking, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

Kigale, Ruhengeri and the Virungas.
Optionals: Genocide museum, Mountain gorilla trek, (Either Parc Nacional de Volcans (Rwanda) or Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Uganda), golden monkeys trek, visit to Dian Fossey’s grave, orphanage and preschool visit.

Drive through to Arusha, Ngorongoro Crater for guided game drives, Maasai Boma visit (village), Mto Wa Mbu markets.
Optionals: Game drives in The Serengeti National Park, camel safari.
Please note some months we travel into Arusha via the Serengeti National Park in the truck. This eliminates a days driving, drops the cost of the Serengeti to £115 and allows us another experience of camping in a national park with the truck. On these months the kitty payment increases accordingly.
Days 18 - 24 TANZANIA including 4 nights allotted for Zanzibar Island....
Dar Es Salaam, the chance of views of Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam camp by the Indian Ocean and seafood bbq.
Optional free time to stay on Zanzibar Island from day 20, returning to Dar es Salaam on day 24:
Talk with us as to the special arrangements we can make for your accommodation staying in beach cottages and the traditional capital, ancient Stone Town and other requirements on the Island including transfers and spice tours.
Other options to budget for include snorkelling excursions to Prison Island, famous for its giant tortoise, as well as Mnemba Atoll, dolphin boat trips, Jozani Forest hike to see the red colobus monkeys, scuba diving.
All accommodation and transfers with a spice tours on Zanzibar Island can be arranged ahead of time.

Days 25 - 30 TANZANIA - MALAWI
Drive through Mikumi National Park, Lake Malawi beach camps, village visits including for a traditional meal and curio markets,
Optionals: Water sports, horse riding in the Lake, Livingstonia hike, school visit.
Days 31 - 37 ZAMBIA
South Luangwa National Park for game drives (season pending), Lusaka
Optionals: Evening game drives in Luangwa (season pending), houseboat cruise including guided game walks

Days 38 - 41 ZAMBIA
Livingstone and Victoria Falls.
Optionals: Lion walks, horse rides, elephant rides, rhino treks, white water rafting, 'Flight of the Angels', bungee jump, interactive drumming, sunset cruise and many other activities based around Victoria Falls.
Days 42 - 47 BOTSWANA
Chobe safari lodge, Maun.
Optionals: Chobe National Park, game drive and game cruise, Okavango Delta guided mokoro safari, flight over the Delta.
Days 48 - 56 NAMIBIA
Etosha National Park, Cheetah Park, visit with Bushmen, Cape Cross Seal Colony, Swakopmund.
Optionals: Rock paintings, quad biking, sandboarding, sky diving, desert flights, township tour, dolphin cruise, open sea fishing.
Days 57 - 63 NAMIBIA - SOUTH AFRICA
Namib Desert, Sossusvlei, Namib Naukluft National Park, Fish River Canyon, Ai Ais, Orange River, Cape Town.
Optionals: Guided walk on the dunes, canoeing, wine tour.
