In 1979 we crossed the Sahara Desert in a London taxi from Britain to Kenya.. Absolute Africa, the African overland company, grew from there.
Our choice of vehicle has changed from the original taxi and we now travel the continent in big yellow overland trucks. At the same time we have retained the core idea of enabling overland passengers to experience Africa at an affordable price.

Overheads in London are kept to a minimum wherever possible and with solid effective ground arrangements in Africa, particularly from the regional office in Tanzania, and around the clock office backup, our aim is to ensure your overland safari in Africa will provide you with memories for a life time.
The workshop in Arusha, Tanzania, ensures the trucks are maintained and adapted for Africa overland conditions and staff in the regional office make sure on-the-ground handling arrangements run smoothly.

We can also advise on flights, insurance, immunisations, visas, as well as excursions and accommodation for before and after your overland trip.
